Housatonic Community College To Offer New Ophthalmic Assistant Program
To help address the global shortage of ophthalmic medical personnel and train students for in-demand careers, Housatonic Community College will offer an Ophthalmic Assistant Program this semester, with classes beginning September 17th.

Housatonic Museum of Art Opens ‘Object Lessons’ Exhibition On September 13th
HCC alum and current student at Academy of Art University (AAU) Craig Leachman ‘15, took home six awards from this year’s Connecticut Art Directors Club (CADC) Awards Show.
The CT Alliance to End Sexual Violence will host two free trainings for all CSCU students this summer. These trainings, made possible through the CSCU SAFE grant, provide information about sexual violence on campus and a comprehensive overview of state and federal policies.
Timex Group, one of four inductees into this year’s American Manufacturing Hall of Fame (AMHoF), will be honored for their contributions to manufacturing at the Fifth Annual Induction Ceremony on Tuesday, October 9 at the Trumbull Marriott.

Farrel Corporation to be recognized at American Manufacturing Hall of Fame
The American Manufacturing Hall of Fame (AMHoF) is pleased to recognize The Farrel Corporation for their outstanding contribution to manufacturing at the Fifth Annual Induction Ceremony on Tuesday, October 9 at the Trumbull Marriot.
The deadline for Fall Scholarships is fast approaching. Applications must be submitted by Sunday, July 8. See below for a list of qualifications and exceptions.
The all-volunteer, philanthropic organization Near and Far Aid awarded a $12,000 grant to the Housatonic Community College Foundation (HCCF) to help make college more affordable for students facing financial challenges.
In recognition of the many contributions HCC students have made to the campus community, Student Appreciation Day kicked off the summer with music, food and games.
On Wednesday, May 2nd, HCC held a sidewalk festival. The festival included sidewalk chalk drawings, live music and food.
