For the first time in its history, Housatonic Community College (HCC) will offer a spring cohort for its Advanced Manufacturing program. The program, which begins on January 22, provides a direct path to well-paying, in-demand careers, and offers many students a full scholarship.
In her six years at Housatonic, Rebecca Rodriguez has touched the lives of many students, largely because of the relationships she’s built with them, and her personal understanding of the challenges they face.
At Thanksgiving, turkey is typically the star of the show, but one local vegan is helping those in need this holiday season and sharing his healthy lifestyle.
Housatonic Community College (HCC) is elevating its commitment to under-resourced and underserved students across our region with the creation of a new initiative: The Equity Project. Through financial investments and an array of support services, the initiative seeks to increase access to higher education, retention and academic achievement.
To show appreciation for its student body, the Housatonic Community College (HCC) Student Senate handed out 200 Thanksgiving meal bags on Friday. Each thermal bag was filled with holiday dinner staples such as stuffing, potatoes, green beans, cranberries and pumpkin. In addition, the first 50 students received turkeys and another 10 students received donated Stop & Shop gift cards to buy one.
