The Theater Arts program at Housatonic Community College is hosting an Alumni Performance Festival from November 5 through 15 in the Lafayette Hall Performing Arts Center.

Students concerned that sharpening their academic skills will eat up time and stall their progress toward a college degree now have the option of enrolling in accelerated online courses that can be completed in one semester.

Housatonic Community College (HCC) is hosting several upcoming events aimed to shorten the application and enrollment process for students.

Registration for the fall semester is underway at Housatonic Community College and there are two upcoming Saturday walk-in registration events planned in August.

While women make up more than half of the U.S. workforce, they hold less than 20 percent of U.S. tech jobs. In an effort to help address this, the Bank of America Charitable Foundation and the Housatonic Community College Foundation (HCCF) have teamed up to support women interested in entering tech careers.

The Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA) has appointed former HCC student Cynthia Calderon of Middletown to serve as a Member-at-Large on its Advisory Council for the organization’s 2019-2020 activity year.

The WorkPlace honored Paul Broadie II, Ph.D. with The President’s Award during the WorkPlace Annual Awards Ceremony June 27 at Bridgeport’s Downtown Cabaret Theater.
