October 7 & 8, HCC’s PTK - Chi Rho Chapter attended a Fall New England Regional ‘Honors in Action’ Conference at Quinsigamond Community College, Worcester, Massachusetts. 4 Chapter Officers, 1 Chapter Officer Alumni, and 2 Advisors attended the event.
Special guest speakers were:
- Dan Chiras – Environmental Speaker, who is an author and consultant specializing in green building, renewable energy and energy efficiency. His speech focused on World Hunger, building green houses, and providing food for your local community.
- Jennifer Stanford – Chief Engagement Officer for Phi Theta Kappa overseeing all programming related to Honors in Action, Competitive Edge, Hallmark Awards, and Regional & Chapter Development.
- Gail Carberry – President of Quinsigamond Community College. Since her Presidency in 2006, enrollment increased 40% to 8,000 students and has increased career program graduates by 80%.

News: Four out of 57 New England Chapters received 2-5 Chapter Level Stars. Chi Rho is currently at Star Level 4! We hope to achieve 5 Stars by the end of 2016. Go Chi Rho!
