The Connecticut community colleges and technology company Xometry were joined by Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology and Connecticut’s Chief Manufacturing Officer Paul Lavoie at Asnuntuck Community College on Oct. 4 to announce 19 full-tuition scholarships for advanced manufacturing students at nine community colleges across the state to help increase the state’s manufacturing workforce

The scholarships are available for students attending: 

Housatonic Community College (HCC) invites the community to save the date to attend a celebration of a decade of advancing student careers in manufacturing. On November 9, 2022, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm the college will host a 10-year anniversary celebration of its state-of-the-art Advanced Manufacturing Technology Program.

Today, the Housatonic Community College Foundation (HCCF) announced that Bank of America awarded $15,000 to support their Advanced Manufacturing scholarship fund. The funding will directly support low-income students of color and women as they pursue their manufacturing career goals.

The Housatonic Museum of Art (HMA), located on the Housatonic Community College campus in downtown Bridgeport, has named Jennifer Reynolds-Kaye, Ph. D. as the new director.

Connecticut’s community college system, was ranked No. 1 in the nation by WalletHub this week, and several of the community colleges ranked among the top 15 in the country in the financial website’s reports on community colleges and state-by-state community college system rankings.

Housatonic Museum of Art (HMA), located on the Housatonic Community College campus in downtown Bridgeport, is proud to announce that it recently received a $40,824 Inspire! Grant for Small Museums from The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).

Housatonic Museum of Art, located on the Housatonic Community College campus in Bridgeport, CT, proudly presents its newest exhibition, June Ahrens: Reflecting Time. A free, opening reception will be held on Thursday, September 8 from 5:30 to 7pm. The exhibit will be on view through October 22, 2022.

The Housatonic Museum of Art presents Vincent Baldassano: To Be Continued. Curated by Joel Leneker, the installation is comprised of new works on cloth and iconic works from the 1970s through 2022.

In conjunction with its current exhibition “Of Woman Born”, the Housatonic Museum of Art presents a free public lecture entitled, FROM DANGER TO DIGNITY: The Surprising (and Convoluted) History of U.S. Abortion Politics.
