For the second year in a row, Housatonic Community College (HCC) joined more than 100 colleges and universities across the nation on October 9 to celebrate Fresh Check Day, an uplifting mental health promotion and suicide prevention event that includes interactive expo booths, peer-to-peer messaging, support of multiple campus departments and groups, free food, entertainment, and exciting prizes and giveaways.

Housatonic Community College (HCC) will host The Major Experience–a comprehensive workshop that includes academic guidance, career assessment and future career exploration by HCC faculty and staff.

The internet has simplified many aspects of our lives, but until recently the process of registering to vote and understanding local election procedures was still left to those with ample free time and resources. TurboVote has changed all that.

On Tuesday, Sept 18, HCC’s Theater Arts Program will run a special one-off performance of “Wasted”, an hour-long show that looks at consequences of a simple night out turned bad. The show will take place in the Performing Arts Center from 2:00-3:15 and is free and open to the public

Housatonic Community College (HCC) will host “Forming a More Perfect Union” a conversation on civic engagement presented by Tanya A. Hughes, Executive Director of the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities (CHRO).

The Connecticut National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) named Paul Broadie II, Ph.D. among the100 Most Influential Blacks in Connecticut for 2018.

Interested in a career in media and/or communications? The Donofrio Public Media Scholarship is available to second year, full-time CSCU community college students who are studying in the field of communication, journalism, broadcasting, digital arts, production or marketing.

HCC alum and current student at Academy of Art University (AAU) Craig Leachman ‘15, took home six awards from this year’s Connecticut Art Directors Club (CADC) Awards Show.

Students who register in August for Humanities 119, a short-term study abroad course that will visit Spain and Portugal, will receive a special $150 discount.
