That’s why Patriot Bank, N.A. has extended its partnership with Housatonic Community College (HCC) and its Foundation to help students become as smart about their money as they are about their studies, through the creation of a new financial literacy website, workshops and educational panels.

A conversation with Felisha Guirand-Fleurimond

Four years ago Felisha Guirand-Fleurimond, Recruitment and Retention Coordinator for our Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center (AMTC), came to Housatonic as a Data and Reporting Specialist on a one-year grant. Since then, she has built a deep appreciation for the field and discovered her passion for working within diverse groups.

Watch “IRWIN – A New York Story” and enjoy the story of legendary cartoonist Irwin Hasen, who was among the first group of artists to shape comic book culture. Then, “A Story In Stone” centers on the studio of Bridgeport artist and printmaker James Reed and his master work with stone lithography. Six outstanding Housatonic Community College (HCC) leaders were chosen to attend the Connecticut Change Leadership workshop program. The program, which will be held virtually next month, and facilitated by the University of Texas at Austin Charles A. Dana Center, is a professional development opportunity open only to nominated Connecticut State Colleges & Universities (CSCU) community college leaders.

Housatonic and Norwalk Community Colleges are pivoting to meet the needs of Connecticut’s workforce and today’s learners in this unprecedented training and education environment.
