Student Senate Host Thanksgiving Feast for Students

Thanksgiving came early for HCC Tuesday, as more than 50 students and faculty packed the Lafayette cafeteria for HCC’s Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon.

Smells of turkey, stuffing, and other dishes filled the air as the HCC community lined up to fill their plates before departing for the holiday. Needing nothing more than their IDs, students were able to help themselves to the spread. HCC faculty, staff and alumni were asked to donate $5.00 toward the Pay It Forward Scholarship.

“I really enjoyed the meal,” said HCC student Mindy Phothirath, “It really brought everyone together.”

Established in 2010, The Pay It Forward Scholarship was created to assist current or incoming students who demonstrate financial need, are in good academic standing and are not receiving financial aid. The scholarship is founded 100% by students.
