Housatonic Community College and St. Vincent’s College will enroll students for the spring 2017 semester into an Associate Degree program in Radiologic Sciences. Students will take specific courses at HCC and other courses at St. Vincent’s College. Students will pay the community college tuition rate for all the courses in the degree program.

The program will prepare students for work in Radiography, an imaging technique using electromagnetic radiation other than visible light to view non-transparent objects. The images are used by radiologists for diagnosis and treatment plans.

The admission process will integrate courses and financial aid at the two schools and students must work with advisors at both schools in planning their academic schedules and progress.

Upon completion of the program, students will earn an Associate Degree in Radiography from St. Vincent’s College. They will be eligible to take the ARRT examination for certification and Conn. licensure. Those students who wish to continue their education will be able to seamlessly transfer their credits into the Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Sciences at St. Vincent’s College.

The Radiologic Sciences Associate Degree program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology and is licensed and accredited by the State of Connecticut Board of Governors for Higher Education.
