Discover New Art: Unveiling of "Trace 591" at Beacon Hall

Summer brings a burst of creativity to CT State! The Housatonic Museum of Art (HMA) collaborated with artist Creighton Michael to unveil his captivating wooden sculpture, "Trace 591," in Beacon Hall.
Gifted by Eileen Shepard and Harold Zuckerman, this artwork enriches our CT State community. Crafted from conifer pieces connected in the Japanese Tsugite style, it's a visual masterpiece of nature's beauty.
Each limb serves as a unique mark in this three-dimensional canvas—a true artistic marvel. This is the first time Creighton's final piece in this series is on public display, right here on the second floor of Beacon Hall at Housatonic Community College.
Immerse yourself in this inspiring creation and celebrate the fusion of art and nature.
