Entitled REIMAGINING DATA—Visualizing Clients Services, Optimus staff will learn in this training how to apply Excel applications that permit them to more effectively analyze and visualize their patient census data. 

Conducted in two intensive 4-hour training sessions in Housatonic’s state of the art computer laboratories, participants will be introduced to an SSG- simulated patient database. 

Working in two-person teams, participants will construct a clean database from a scrambled array of data, then apply Excel applications, including sorting, filtering, formula manipulation, and pivot tables to organize and analyze this data.  The objective is to apply specific Excel tools that Optimus departments can use on a daily basis.

The training will also provide participants with new graphical tools to display patient census data in bar, line, and pie chart formats appropriate to their specific operations.

A special feature of this program is the SSG Interactive Toolbox. The toolbox will contain all training materials, tailored exercises, and templates introduced in the training which participants can then upload to their computer for daily use. 

This training was launched under the direction of Optimus’ Human Resources Director, Maria  Xavier-Dowski who learned of SSG’s corporate training services through Philip Dante, Career Development Coordinator for HCC’s FORWARD Program.
