A conversation with Adam Scobie

Adam Scobie’s manufacturing career began at age 15. His dad, HCC Instructor George Scobie, owns MRH Tool in Milford, and would pay Adam to run some of the machines.

Congressman Jim Himes visited Housatonic Community College (HCC) on Tuesday, February 16 to gain firsthand knowledge of the college’s Advanced Manufacturing training program. The nine-month certificate program provides students with the cutting-edge manufacturing skills needed to enter Connecticut’s in-demand jobs in the industry.

A conversation with Felisha Guirand-Fleurimond

Four years ago Felisha Guirand-Fleurimond, Recruitment and Retention Coordinator for our Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center (AMTC), came to Housatonic as a Data and Reporting Specialist on a one-year grant. Since then, she has built a deep appreciation for the field and discovered her passion for working within diverse groups.
