Housatonic Community College (HCC) is proud to announce a partnership with ACCESS Educational Service to host its annual summer STEAM Enrichment Program for students entering 4th – 8th grade. The program takes place on the HCC campus for a two week period, from July 29th – August 9th and offers students exciting experiences with VEX IQ robotics, art, nutrition, gardening, as well as social and physical activities.
“This academic enrichment program provides students with hands-on opportunities to explore the STEAM fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math,” said Dr. Paul Broadie, HCC President. “The summer is a great time for children to try new experiences, which can often lead to lifelong interests.”
The program runs from 8:30am – 4:30pm and activities include fun hands-on activities including The Science in Me Activities where students will discover how food becomes the body's fuel and what role DNA plays in making us who we are.
The program is offered by ACCESS Educational Services, in partnership with Housatonic Community College, Discovery Museum, the Greater Bridgeport STEM Ecosystem and Bridgeport Youth Lacrosse, Inc., and is sponsored by the Fairfield County Community Foundation.
Housatonic Community College is located at 900 Lafayette Boulevard in Bridgeport, CT. The program is full at this time. If you are interested in ACCESS Educational Services fall programming please email at or call 475.241.3138.
