At the Connecticut Community College 2019 Spring Elevator Pitch Competition for the Southern Conference, HCC students swept 1st, 2nd & 3rd place – a first in the competition’s history! In first place: Roger Manandhar, ChowsPartsBazaar LLC: Custom Car Parts; 2nd place went to Stephanie Londono, Passionate Scrubs: Natural Body Scrub Company and third place went to Ines Taco, VISUAL CLUE: Board Game for Elderly with Dementia and Alzheimer Disease.

Additionally, Housatonic Community College was named one of six community colleges across the nation to pilot the new Intuit Education "Financial Management for Entrepreneurs Curriculum Initiative" to empower future entrepreneurs with the right financial management tools and skills.
