Housatonic Community College (HCC) and Jonathan Law High School (JLHS) are pleased to announce the return of fall class offerings in Milford. Back-to-school classes are available for new or continuing students, all with the benefit of evening hours and an easily accessible location.

HCC receives recognition from Savannah College of Art and Design

The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) recently signed a transfer agreement with Housatonic Community College (HCC) paving a path for students to transfer to SCAD.
Surgical Technology Information Sessions will be held this month at Housatonic Community College (HCC). The sessions will take place on Tuesday June 12, Thursday, June 14 and Wednesday, June 20. The informational sessions are free and open to the public. Times and location are listed below.

HCC to host Senator Chris Murphy for discussion on manufacturing

U.S. Senator Chris Murphy will hold a discussion on the future of manufacturing as part of his “Buy American” efforts at HCC’s Advanced Manufacturing Center on Monday, April 23 at 11:30 a.m. in Lafayette L166.
HCC’s Business Department will be hosting a free entrepreneurial legal clinic on Thursday, April 12 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:20 p.m. in Beacon Hall room 331.

The recently renovated Advising and Student Success Center has kicked off its annual March Advising Month push in an effort to get students on track to graduate.

Grace Akallo was only 15 years old when she was abducted from her school by Joseph Kony’s Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) and forced into a life as a child soldier. As part of the initiation into the army, Akallo was raped, tortured and forced to kill. After being held by the LRA for seven months, unsure if she would be killed, Akallo escaped.
