Funding will benefit key museum programs including educational initiatives, conservation, exhibitions and more.

The Housatonic Museum of Art announced today that it received a donation of 615 photographs by nine contemporary artists, including pieces by well-known sports photographer Walter Iooss Jr. and photojournalist Peter Turnley.

The Housatonic Community College (HCC) and Gateway Community College (GCC) chapters of Phi Theta Kappa attained the prestigious Five-Star Chapter status, the highest level of achievement offered by the international honor society for two-year colleges.

For the first time in its history, the Housatonic Community College (HCC) Student Art Show adopted an online-only format. Typically held in the school’s Burt Chernow Galleries each spring, the Art Department created an innovative virtual exhibition while the college’s campus is closed due to the COVID-19 crisis.

The COVID-19 pandemic could not stop Housatonic Community College (HCC) from hosting its annual Elevator Pitch Competition. In keeping with the mandate for social distancing, the competition was moved to a first-ever online format. Students dreaming of running their own business competed virtually for prizes, with an enthusiastic response.

As COVID-19 takes a toll on college students everywhere, the Housatonic Community College Foundation is providing emergency relief to help students impacted by the pandemic.

Housatonic Community College (HCC) and three of its instructors have partnered together to create plastic face shield frames that ultimately can be worn by healthcare workers in the fight against Coronavirus.

To support the fight against Coronavirus, Housatonic Community College (HCC) donated critical medical supplies from its math, science and allied health programs today to Yale New Haven Health - Bridgeport Hospital.

The mission of the InterACTion event is to use theater performance as a springboard for discussion and action among the various academic departments, programs, and courses on the HCC campus, as well as the Greater Bridgeport/HCC Service Region, regarding an issue of critical importance to our community.
