Brining in the Bystander, a sexual and relationship violence prevention workshop will be held Monday, April 30 from 2-2:30 p.m. in BH-317 and Tuesday, May 1, 11-12:20 p.m. in LH L109. The workshop, which is co-sponsored by the Academic Advising and Student Success Activities offices, aims to equip students with skills necessary to diffuse volatile situations in relationships.

Rather than focusing strictly on the roles of perpetrator and victim, the workshop utilizes a community responsibility approach. Through the training, bystanders are taught how to safely intervene in instances where sexual violence, relationship violence or stalking may be occurring.
