Housatonic Community College has five teams participating in this year's "Walk To Wellness" fitness challenge held by the Bridgeport Regional Business Council.
I want to announce the arrival of a fantastic exhibit I’m hosting at Beacon Hall as part of my 2015 Honors Seminar Connecticut Uncovered. Sponsored by the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame, the exhibit consists of 40 portraits of educators, businesswomen, social leaders and other trailblazing women who have improved life in our state over the past couple hundred years. I spent all day Friday hanging the portraits, with the expert help and guidance of Prof. Andy Pinto, and I now have a newfound appreciation for museum and gallery workers everywhere!
The FESP program now has staff! It’s very exciting to have a team working hard to help our students clarify their career goals, navigate the college, persist in their classes, and start preparing for economically secure futures.
