Fall 2023 semester credit classes start on August 29 with a mix of on-campus, online, and hybrid course options.

On July 27, a remarkable event unfolded as young minds from our Advanced Manufacturing Camp donned their graduation caps! This particular camp, dedicated to fostering skills in advanced manufacturing, witnessed the culmination of hard work and determination from these bright students.

Connecticut State Community College (CT State) has received its initial accreditation from the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE) to establish a comprehensive and statewide community college with 17 campuses across Connecticut providing quality, accessible, and affordable higher education.

CT State Community College’s 12 campuses will hold “Enroll in a Day” for new and continuing students on Saturday, July 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Attendees can meet with an advisor, finalize their schedules, and register for classes at one of CT State’s 12 locations listed.  

On Thursday, May 25,in addition to awarding well-earned associate degrees to its hardworking graduates, Housatonic Community College (HCC) will recognize six outstanding community leaders with honorary Associate Science degrees at the college’s 56th commencement ceremony.

Connecticut State Colleges and Universities (CSCU) President Terrence Cheng today announced that he is appointing Dr. Dwayne Smith, who has served as CEO of Housatonic Community College since 2020, as interim president of Southern Connecticut State University. Smith, who previously served as interim president of Harris-Stowe State University in St. Louis, Missouri, following his 13-year stint as that institution’s provost, has an extensive academic background at the university level.

The Werth Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Housatonic Community College (HCC) announces their Spring Entrepreneurship Speaker Series.  Over breakfast, HCC scholars will learn from seasoned entrepreneurs as they share their successes and pitfalls in launching their business ventures.

CT State Community College (CT State) announced that it will hire seven additional mental health and wellness counselors and develop new programs as part of a plan to provide greater access to on-site counseling and wellness services at its 12 community colleges.
