Housatonic Community College Hosts CreativityCon

A crowd consisting of teachers, administrators and parents met at CreativityCon’s Energizing Minds in Creative Ways Friday at Beacon Hall for a forum that focused on developing and energizing creativity in education. CreativityCon, in sponsorship with the Connecticut Association for the Gifted (CAG) and in partnership with HCC, also included a tour of HCC’s Advanced Manufacturing Center.

Founded in 2014, CreativityCon works with educators in Connecticut to promote creative learning through panels and workshops which included “Using Design Thinking to Foster Creativity,” “The Synectics Connection: Creativity through Metaphor,” “DaVinci's Number One Thinking Skill: The Switchover!”, “Developing Creativity and Emotional Intelligence Through Art” among others.
